Starbucks UK tax : Let us support British Businesses

The disparity in its turnover and what it pays in UK corporation tax has made Starbucks the latest US company to come under the spotlight for its negligible contribution to Her Majesty’s Revenues & Customs.
Its nearest UK rival, Costa, owned by Whitbread, had a similar amount of turnover, with £377m of sales in the year ending March 3 2011. But Costa’s tax bill came to £15m - 30.5pc of its profits.
We the people of England can and should get UK out of recession. This model of Starbucks does not help us in our long term goal of getting UK out of recession and ultimately people of UK out of recession.
If we want our system to work we need to support our own companies. It is really important to do so.
It is we the people of UK can stop this.
I would let the people decide on what needs to be done then making conclusion on what I feel I am going to do.
